GENERAL COOKING DIRECTIONS
- Add 2/3 cup of water per 1 cup of Williamson Kenwood pancake mix. If you like thick pancakes, add a little less water. Or if you like thinner pancakes, add a little more water.
- Gently mix ingredients together (10-15 strokes).
- Gently mix ingredients together, about 15-20 strokes. DO NOT OVER MIX! Over mixing will cause your pancakes to become tough and dense instead of fluffy. Batter should look lumpy because it is packed with lots of flavorful ingredients.
- Preheat your griddle or skillet to 350 to 375 degrees (medium to medium-high heat) and spray lightly with non-stick cooking spray.
- Scoop or pour pancake mix onto the prepared cooking surface. Cook until golden brown, turning only once.
- Makes about eight 3 1/2 - 4" pancakes
COOKING TIPS
- We suggest using your favorite brand of non-stick cooking spray. Spray onto your cooking surface before adding pancake batter.
- Williamson Kenwood pancake mix can easily be made in a sandwich sized zip-top bag. Add 1 cup of pancake mix and 2/3 cup of water to the bag and squeeze out most of the air. Gently massage the contents of the bag until the ingredients come together. When cooking surface is ready to cook, snip off a small amount of one bottom corner of the bag and gently squeeze out the mix. This works well if you are using a large griddle or you are making a lot of silver dollar sized pancakes where you can quickly pipe the batter out of the bag.
- Make fun silver dollar sized pancakes perfect for snacking by scooping mix with a tablespoon.
- Leftover cooked pancakes store very well in the refrigerator. They taste great cold, too!
- Left over cooked pancakes also freeze well. The frozen pancakes can be reheated gently in a microwave or a toaster.
